Andy Mac: Struggle Fantastic and 410

As many of you may or may not know my good friend Andy Mac released two new albums last Saturday. Struggle Fantastic and a surprise acoustic EP 410...

I just got them in the mail today and I can, without prejudice, say that they are awesome!

Struggle Fantastic is his follow up album to 2005's Music For A Bright Moon Sky. It really showcases Andy's growth as a musician and proves that it was worth the 4 year wait between his last album and this one. The songs on this album have a layered richness that just surrounds you in a warm blanket of groovy toe-tapping love. It's music that I call "drivable"... the kind of music that you can put on the car stereo and take a long leisurely afternoon drive... and if you have that gene you WILL start singing along... you won't be able to help yourself.

410 is something altogether different yet still distinctly Andy Mac. It's an acoustic set that is intimate and personal. Listening to it you really get the sense that if you close your eyes the rest of the world will disappear and it will be just you and Andy. It's beautiful. There is a great story behind it... I'll let Andy tell it...

On a personal note...

Andy is one of those people that often gives a lot more than he gets back. I like to say that he is the kind of person that just gets it. Being a good, kindhearted person isn't a choice for him... it's just who he is. Since the day I met him his generous and creative nature has inspired my own creative fire and I am truly honored and proud to count him among my friends.

Do yourself a favor and check him out. I can promise you will NOT be disappointed.
